Week of 2/16-2/19

  • 2/16-19 Pre-vent works

    • Tuning of the MC servo ~ low power MC test
    • End X/Y transmon optics relocations ~ making spaces for green
    • ITM pointing preparations ~ green/red pointers at the both ends

  • 2/17 40m meeting

  • 2/18 Power shutdown preparation

  • 2/19 No work / only papers and pens

  • 2/20 Power shutdown

Week of 2/22-2/26

  • 2/22 Power shutdown recovery

    • System recovery
    • Check MC SOS status

      • Low power MC mode ~ P(intra_cav)<10W at the resonance (~10mW incident)

    • Pre-vent check list
      • PZT HV / Oplevs / etc

  • 2/23 Reserved for trouble shooting

  • 2/23 or 24 Vent

Suspension preparation

  • Wed 17 Feb

    • Gluing test

      • Epoxy test. Try gluing a dumbbell to an optic. Check strength of bond. (It's good)
  • Thurs 18 Feb

    • ITMX guiderod gluing

      • Place ITMX in guiderod fixture

      • Epoxy guiderod & standoff to ITMX (Afternoon)

      • Cure epoxy (overnight)
  • Fri 19 Feb

    • Magnet-dumbbell gluing

    • Make up matching sets of magnets using gaussmeter (Morning)
    • Etch magnets and dumbbells using razor blade (Morning)
    • Epoxy magnets to dumbbells (Morning)
    • Cure epoxy (overnight)

    • ITMY guiderod gluing

      • Place ITMY in guiderod fixtrue
      • Epoxy guiderods to ITMY (Afternoon)
      • Cure epoxy (overnight)
  • Sat 20 Feb
    • No Electricity - No work
  • Sun 21 Feb
  • Mon 22 Feb

    • ITMX magnet gluing

      • Remove ITMX from guiderod fixture, place in magnet fixture
      • Epoxy magnets ITMX (Afternoon)
      • Cure epoxy (overnight)

    • EQ stop preparation

      • Talk to Zach - help him get started on this
      • Plan for viton cutting (something to help measure / keep the razor straight while cutting)
      • Cut the Viton
      • Assemble EQ stops (stick the viton in the screws)
  • Tues 23 Feb

    • EQ stop preparation

      • Zach finish making EQ stops (at least enough for the ITMs...can finish the rest later in the week)

    • Hanging preparation

      • Balance Optical Table (Morning)

      • Make HeNe OpLev (Morning)

      • Ensure OSEM satellite box is ready, PZT buzzer is ready, and all other preparations for hanging optics

    • ITMY magnet gluing

      • Glue magnets to ITMY (Afternoon)
      • Cure epoxy (overnight)

  • Tue 2 Mar (actual date)

    • ITMX hanging

      • Hang and balance ITMX. (All Day)
      • Epoxy wire standoffs in place after balancing
      • Cure epoxy (overnight)

  • Tue 11 Mar (actual date)

    • ITMY hanging

      • Hang and balance ITMY. (All Day)
      • Epoxy wire standoffs in place after balancing
      • Cure epoxy (overnight)

  • Mon 22 Mar (actual date)

    • ITMX/ITMY baking - done

      • Remove both ITMs from their suspensions (Morning) 2 person job
      • Vacuum bake to clean the optics - 48 hours
      • Leave the 2 ITMs alone in the bake oven
      • Get RGA scan to confirm they're sparkly clean

  • Mon 5 Apr (actual date)

    • Final Prep for Installation

      • Reinstall optics in suspensions (Definitely a 2 person job)
      • Install the OSEMs in the new suspension towers (OSEMs to be taken from current MOS ITMs)
