40m New Facade

This page is dedicated to present ideas to decorate the exteriors of the 40m.

Not only the LIGO project is currently the biggest public scientific endeavor in the country, but it also has the largest group at Caltech. Although many people still don't know it exists, or what it is, or where it is. We think we should give it appropriate visibility in campus.

The 40m is a multi-million-dollar worth science facility and many people never even notice it while walking in campus. We think we should take advantage of those big, white walls that we have on the outside of the building to make our lab and our science less anonymous.

We talked about that for long time, but busy as we are, we never really came up with a concrete plan. This wiki page is meant to be the first step.

We exhort everyone to advance his or her suggestions.
