• We should avoid Olympus. Olympus is going to quit from Full DSLR categoly in future, focusing on compact DSLRs and high-end point-and-shoot cameras.
• I like Canon's interface but don't Nikon's.

• Recommendation: Canon EOS Rebel T3i $699@Amazon

Comparison between D3100, D5100, Canon, Olympus XZ-1 (Koji's)

• [LEFT] D3100 isn't so great even compared with KA's compact camera. D5100 and Canon T4i looks fine.
• [RIGHT] T4i's resolution for the metalic parts looks great.

Comparison within Canon

• T3i is as good as the other same-level or high-end products of Canon.

Manasa

• I recommend to go for the next generation of true high resolution cameras; in which case nikon D3200 competes with the high end slrs but is a significantly cheaper option (699USD on amazon).
