Stage 1

Hardware

  • 1) Keep list of current hardware up to date: Upgrade 09/CDS/current_hardware

  • 3) Determine if there's hardware that we need that is not on list 1 or 2

  • 4) Get hardware to the 40m and connect it

Software

  • 1) Create and maintain master list of RFM memory locations, blocking off sections needed for both current and future models (such as simulated plants).

  • 2) Create and maintain master list of shared memory locations for models. If possible try to ensure all models and controls could be run on a single machine if necessary.

  • 3) Formalize naming conventions, work out final "map" of all models and computers. Upgrade 09/CDS/current_software_map

  • 4) Create final automated medm screens and model pieces (matrix of filter modules, automated real->simulated plant switch incorporating ADC/DACs, nice filter medm screens, etc)

  • 5) Basic controls models working (Suspensions, LSC, ASC, OMC, ASS all working together) 6) Basic controls medm screens working

Stage 2

Software

  • 1) Get a basic simulated plant working for one controller (single suspension with pendulum filter for example)

  • 2) Get multiple basic simulated plants working together (simulated arm, transmitted light strength to QPDs)

  • 3) Get a basic interferometer simulated plant working (simulated PSL injecting light into a full interferometer)

  • 4) Add more advanced noises/transfer functions.
