Reference Cavity Eigenmodes

List of Eigenfrequencies

  1. 5493 Hz ( "C" shape being mode)
  2. 5537 Hz (these first two are the first bending modes - degeneracy is split by the blow hole on top)
  3. 9193 Hz (strange squeezing mode due to the blow hole)
  4. 12641 Hz
  5. 12693 Hz (second bending modes: "S" shape)
  6. 13935 Hz (first longitudinal mode)
  7. 18480 Hz (torsional mode)

This is picture of the first longitudinal mode. f = 13935 Hz, I guess there's a few % error on the frequency due to differences in the real density and groove dimensions. refcav-m1.png
