We have several different kinds of thermometers in the lab:
- There are the Mercury / Alcohol standard glass-bulb types that Steve has fastened all over the place.
- The thermostats which control the room temperature have unreliable thermometers.
- There are temperature sensors in the dust monitors which are recorded as EPICS channels.
- The PSL Refcav has thermistors on the refcav can (RCTEMP) and a thermistor on the table (RMTEMP).
- There is a thermometer on the PSL chiller.
- The PSL MOPA's head temperature is recorded as is the NPRO crystal and pump diode temperature.
Precision Temperature Sensor for the Chambers
We want to precisely measure the temperature of the chambers so that when we track drumhead modes we can remove the effect of the ambient temperature.
At the sites, Phil Willems has installed LM34 based sensors.
