Dmass noted some installation problems. I installed the 64 bit CentOS 5.1 on the machine today.
 1. Let it wipe the HD and use default partitioning. 
 1. Disabled firewall and disabled SELINUX since that stuff is annoying.
 1. Also plugged in the network cable before installing and set the hostname to ''rosalba''.
 1. Set up with the standard ''controls'' and ''root'' accounts and passwords.
 1. Post install update (emacs, perl, general math/sci stuff)
 1. Changed ''controls'' shell to '''tcsh''' from bash to make the same as other workstations.
