After restarting some computers it can be necessary to restore epics settings. This can be achieved using BURTgooey. On a SUN machine go to the terminal and type ''burtgooey''. Click on ''Restore'' Select an appropriate snapshot file from ''/cvs/cds/rtcds/caltech/c1/burt/autoburt/snapshots'' e.g. to restore settings for iscepics on the 27th of January 2008 one might select ''/cvs/cds/caltech/burt/autoburt/snapshots/2008/Jan/26/00:00/c1lscepics.snap'' Go back to the ''Restore'' window, highlight your selected file and hit ''Restore''. Wait for a couple of minutes. The button next to ''Restore'' will become blank. When the process is complete the button will read ''OK'' or ''Not OK''. It turns out, however, that if you were manually restarting the processor (turning the crate key off/on, for example), then you might need to close the terminal window with burtgooey on the SUN machine and start burtgooey in a new terminal window. Exit or check your processor/try another file.
