After restarting some computers it can be necessary to restore epics settings. This can be achieved using BURTgooey.
On a SUN machine go to the terminal and type burtgooey.
Click on Restore
Select an appropriate snapshot file from /cvs/cds/caltech/burt/autoburt/snapshots e.g. to restore settings for iscepics one might select /cvs/cds/caltech/burt/autoburt/snapshots/2008/Jan/26/00:00/c1lscepics.snap
Go back to the Restore window, highlight your selected file and hit Restore.
Wait for a couple of minutes. The button next to Restore in the window will become blank.
When the process is complete the button will read OK or Not OK.
Exit or check your processor/try another file.
